As Christ followers, we share in His Kingdom focus of re-creation empowered and equipped through the Holy Spirit. To that end, Church of the Apostles embraces an integrated and holistic approach to community, mission, and ministry. We are committed to personal re-creation and transformation as we seek spiritual maturity, growing more and more into the likeness of Christ.
Given the beauty and majesty of God’s creation and the worship He designed, we celebrate beauty and seek to develop liturgy and ministry that captures the imagination and appeals to all the senses. We are also committed to incorporating the arts in our worship and to embrace and support the arts in our community. Finally, we encourage personal creativity in responding to God’s purpose for our lives and ministries and are committed to helping individuals discover his or her passions and spiritual gifts, recognizing that “every member is a minister.”
A Christian, above all people, should live artistically, aesthetically, and creatively…The fact that you are a Christian should show in some practical area of a growing creativity and sensitivity to beauty, rather than a gradual drying up of creativity, and a blindness to ugliness…Although creation and man have been spoiled by sin, there is leftover in creation a glimpse of what God created in the first place. There are fragments of beauty to show the glory of the creator, the Artist God. Edith Schaeffer
