When we give our primary attention to other matters, things go wrong, sometimes terribly wrong. We all too easily make idols out of people, personal goals, situations, problems, worries, fears – all the things we’re not to worship. All too often I’ve heard sermons preached about Joseph with cleaver titles like, “From the Pit, to the Prison, to the Palace” using Joseph as an example of someone who overcomes adversity to rise to great position and power.
